There may be some times where another team is scheduled for more games that your team is. There are generally a couple of reasons for this:
- There is an odd number of teams in the league. In this case, there may be some additional doubleheaders built into the schedule to make sure that teams play each week. We try not to give teams a bye unless we have to or a team requests it. When scheduling these extra games, we try not to give them to the best teams in the league.
- A team may have picked up a game from a forfeiting team. If a team forfeits, or doesn't show for their game, we do our best to replace that team so that teams don't miss out on playing their games. This may happen before the league starts (by the office), or at the field (by a referee, umpire or supervisor). As an incentive to pick up an extra game, the game counts and can help a team in the standings.
