When setting up your batting (or kicking) line-up, you're not limited to only 10 players in your line-up. If you have 14 players at the game, they all go into your line-up.
Then you can decide each inning which 10 of of those in your lineup you'd like to have in the field defensively (as long as you meet the correct gender requirements).
